After 3 years of hard work I graduate this year

So to celebrate I made me a set to wear on my graduation next month.
The main pearl is from the Cook Islands where  my family is from so there is a personal connection and maybe a start of new tradition

7th bead soup blog party with Lori :)

Once again I have put my name forward for another bead soup organised by Lori Anderson.  BIG Thank YOU for putting this together again.

My partner is Caron Reid her blog is http://www.caronmichelle.blogspot.com.au/

she sent me this beautiful collection of Moukaite Jasper Beads that are mined in Australia'

So I have made these ...

Necklace - Using one of the larger pieces I double sided bead stitched around securing the pendant before adding to smaller bead then did a stitch which required beading each bead on twice before hanging with the ribbon for an adjustable length.

Bracelet is a chunky style bracelet using all of Caron's beads.

With matching earrings.

Thank you Caron for the beautiful beads and Lori for organising a great event.  Please follow the link below to see more.  There is so much talent out there :)

1800 likers on facebook

What a big achievement for my Facebook page.  While celebrating reaching 1700 I hit 1800.  Completely by surprise so ....... I was thinking I would do a blog giveaway for this one.

I have enjoyed making these friendship rings so if you would like one, leave your name and email address below.  The winner will get a gorgeous friendship ring made in the colours of their choice (using what I have in stock) The stones used will be crystals and matching czech glass with artistic wire.  Made to your size as well.

I will draw the winner via random.org on Thursday 9th August 2012 at 8.30pm.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my designs.  I truly do appreciate your support, feedback and encouragement.

6th Bead Soup

This is what I sent Tracy Stillman from Tracy Stillman Designs.
She has been experimenting with seed beads so I thought a focal bead from Bobbie Pene at My Handmade added a nice 'kiwi' touch.

Big reveal is August 25th. I can't wait to see what she has made.
